What a fantastic event! Lifters from 4 different states converged on the Fort Mill YMCA to compete at the USA Powerlifting SC State Championship this past Saturday . They did not disappoint. Multiple American records were broken as well as a slew of state records were set or broken.
Best lifters included:
Best Full Power: Owen Tomaszewski
Best Bench: Justin Shepherd
Best Female: Heather Connor
Best Master: Travis Pardue
Peyton Faas returned to the platform and put on quite a show, displaying better technique than most seasoned adult lifters. Great job!
Records have been updated and the results posted.
The USA Powerlifting Battle on the Border is our next meet. This March, the Battle will be returning to South Carolina. This is our tenth year putting on this contest between North and South Carolina and it continues to fill up faster and faster every year. We have never had 30 lifters registered before January 1st. Today, we currently have 50 lifters registered. As in previous years, I will be cutting off the roster at the first 100 lifters registered.
South Carolina needs to step up! Although I am thrilled to death to have 50 lifters on the roster with over 3 months until the contest, our state has less that 20% of those lifters registered. The Battle is being held in South Carolina! OUR HOUSE! Now that the South Carolina State Championship is in the rear veiw mirror, sign up today! We have worked very hard to give our members the opportunity to compete in competitions in SC. Please make it worth the time and effort to do so.
