We are only three weeks away from the Battle and as we draw closer, we have been able to pull up several more lifters from the Alternate list! Unfortunately, we will need to lock down the roster on March 4th to any new lifters. The days of walking into competitions are long past us and I need time to prepare for the meet.
The lifting schedule for the Battle is listed below. Flights will be posted prior to lifting on Saturday and we move as quickly as lifters can be ready to step on the platform. We also move fairly fluidly from one flight to the next, however estimating exact times of lifting and when we will be finished is impossible to predict accurately.
Friday - March 18, 2016:
7:00 to 8:00 pm - Early Equipment Check
Saturday - March 19, 2016:
8:00 to 9:30 am - Weigh-in and Equipment Check
9:30 to 10:00 am - Rules Briefing and Lifter Warm Up
10:00 am - Lifting for All Classes
Drug Testing Protocol/ Awards Presentation will Follow Lifting
There are several hotels in the Fort Mill area. Charlotte, NC is just a few short miles away and there are tons of rooms available there. Working in Charlotte, I stay in hotels every week and it has been my experience that I can get the best rates on the nicest room by using www.Priceline.com. Sometimes it can be a little tricky getting to the exact area that you want to stay, however I can get a fairly nice room for much less than the hotels offer me as a group discount.
