The USA Powerlifting Fall Festival of Power was held this past weekend in Denver, NC. With over 100 lifters competing and three platforms going simultaneously, there was one particular South Carolinian making much noise through the record books. Michael Price (120+ kg), now competing in the M2a age division, increased his SC State record benchpress to 217.5 kg. He now owns the M2a, M1b and M1a RAW bench only records. He also has increased his M1b and M2a open/equipped bench only records. Great job Mike!
After several hours of work updating our South Carolina record database and then transferring that data to the USA Powerlifting lifter database, we are now current! As stated in the previous post, master lifters who own records that are greater than the records in younger divisions will now be awarded those records as well. The opposite is true of teen lifters. A 14-year-old who breaks a T1 record that is greater than the T2 or T3 record, will now be awarded all records above him in age. This is now in conjunction with our National organization.
