3 weeks out from the SC State Meet!
Time to test 1RM then deload and then Openers?
The updated Meet Roster and Entry Forms can be found at http://www.usaplsc.com/events.
There will be two platforms and we are limiting the roster to a tentative 80 lifters. Entry form cut off on December 27.
We have 77 lifters on the roster, 47 from SC, 22 from NC, 3 from Virginia, 2 from Florida, 2 from Pennsylvania and 1 from Georgia.
22 women and 34 lifters at 23 years old and younger.
Ages on the roster range from 13 to 73, proving that powerlifting is a lifetime sport!
Due to a change in our USAPL National rules, American Records can only be set at State, Regional, National and IPF meets.
First time lifters, please read my previous post on “New Lifter Competition Advice”.
BEST LIFTER AWARDS (On Wilks score)
Best Female Full Power
Best Male Full Power
Best Teen Full Power
Best Master Full Power
As always these meets rely on our volunteers, particularly spotters and loaders who are fundamental to a successful meet. If you are not lifting, or are looking to get into powerlifting please volunteer as a spotter/loader. It is tough work but rewarding in terms of meeting lifters, watching form and for new lifters, learning the referees commands and how a powerlifting meet proceeds.
